Book Publishing Division Announced

SOS Leadership Institute adds new book publishing division to thriving business

AUSTIN, Texas – SOS Leadership Institute LLC has recently launched a publishing division called SOS Publishing. With this launch also comes the publishing of the first book, The Way of The King’s Men: A ‘how to’ guide for building effective Catholic men’s groups by Mark J. Houck.

The purpose of SOS Publishing is to help authors accomplish their goal of writing a book. SOS Publishing will focus on personal growth, leadership, and Christian living books. They are open to discussing other books that align with their values as well. The idea for SOS Publishing started with the publishing of Seeds of Success: A Journey from Success to Significance (The Leading Edge Publishing Company, Dec. 2008). Father and son team, Bill and Billy Moyer collaborated to write Seeds of Success, which was a big success for SOS Leadership Institute.

In launching SOS Publishing, SOS Leadership has also teamed up with publishing industry veteran, Brian Mast. Brian created his own editing and publishing company, Pilot Communications Group, Inc., built, launched, and ran The Leading Edge Publishing Company, Inc. in 2008, and launched The Publishing Hub in 2009. Before this, Brian worked as editor and then chief editor for a business magazine. He moved into the book-publishing world in 1999. His goal was to write two books before turning 30, which he accomplished with Profiles of Success and How to Manage a Million Dollars or Less. Since then, the books he has written, edited, or produced number almost 100, with collectively more than 1.6 million copies in print.

SOS Publishing is a hybrid publishing company that combines both self and traditional-publishing. Authors get some of the benefits of traditional-publishing, but the freedom of self-publishing. “We will provide extremely competitive rates on proof readers, editors, cover designs, layout, and printing,” co-founder Billy Moyer said. “We take the hassle out of self-publishing by doing the majority of the work for you, allowing the author to focus on promotion and selling.”
