SOS Leadership Gets Award from Belton Chamber

SOS Leadership Institute receives Belton Chamber’s Chairman’s Award of Excellence

AUSTIN, Texas – SOS Leadership Institute LLC was recognized with the Chairman’s Award of Excellence by the Belton Chamber of Commerce last Thursday at their annual banquet. The award is for SOS Leadership’s significant dedication to the mission of the chamber.

Bill Moyer, co-founder of SOS Leadership, started working with the chamber as part of their Leadership Belton program ten years ago. Since then Bill along with partners, Billy Moyer and Amber Fogarty, has continued working with participants in the program. SOS Leadership provides leadership training and education to create a strong foundation in ethical leadership for the Leadership Belton participants.

SOS Leadership also works directly with the Chamber staff, providing executive coaching to Chamber CEO, Stephanie O’Banion, as well as staff training and development. The work has been vital to the growth of the staff and the Chamber. “SOS Leadership’s coaching has helped me communicate more effectively with my staff,” O’Banion said. “I consider myself a more effective leader of the organization, and my staff’s productivity and performance has greatly increased from the coaching we have received. I am so thankful for what SOS Leadership has done for me, the Chamber, and the Belton community.”

Bill Moyer has spearheaded the work done by SOS Leadership in the Belton community. It was fitting that he delivered the keynote address at the annual banquet just before he was honored with the award. His keynote talked about rallying the community around one voice and how to come back from a rough few years. The award was then announced and was accepted by Bill Moyer and his partner and son, Billy.
