BELTON, Texas – The culture of the United States is fast paced: do everything, be everything, have anything, be anything you want…if you are willing to pay the price. Rarely do people in the U.S. slow down to smell the roses, or even admire them. We are encouraged to strive for success. But that often leads people on a road to nowhere.

Bill Moyer, Billy Moyer, and Amber Fogarty, a family team from a Central Texas leadership development organization, have written a book to encourage people to step back, find quiet time, and reflect on what it is they are being called to do with their lives. Retreat to Success: Living Your Life on Purpose (SOS Publishing February 2012) is a story about taking the time to slow down and find your life's purpose. It's the story of a retreat leader and two retreatants who spend time reflecting on what matters most. Retreat to Success is about seeking, and hopefully finding, clarity. It asks readers to open their minds and hearts to the story of three people, all in different stages of life, who go on a retreat and find themselves.

Retreat to Success is a powerful story for men and woman of all ages. The three characters are relatable, and they include: The Young Gun, Super Woman, and The Retreat Leader. They are each at different stages of life, but they all need the retreat because life has gotten in their way. They are encouraged to follow a simple four step process to find their life purpose:

•    Look at your talents and abilities. What “gifts” have you been given?
•    Look back at your life stories. Everything that has happened up until now has been training camp for what’s next.
•    Find a good coach or mentor. The right coach can hold you accountable and provide direction.
•    Find quiet time to reflect. The busyness of life gets in the way. If you can find quiet, you can find your purpose.
